This was America? This wasn’t some ghetto filled with angry black people this was the lobby of the Conrad Hilton and the floor of the Democratic Convention. All the rioters, victims and perpetrators alike, were white. This was not supposed to happen. America was sinking into a raging sea of anger like some unsinkable Titanic that just hit an iceberg. An iceberg named Vietnam.
